At the beginning of 2015 I decided it was time to change some things in my life. For a number of years I had placated myself with the idea that doing yoga once every two months or so and walking my dogs daily, was somehow enough exercise to be considered active. I was only deceiving myself because I found that I was not very fit at all and had become flabby and lazy, and only thanks to good genes, had I not put on more weight.
Many things had changed in my life and one thing was sure, I wasn’t getting younger. Forty was approaching fast and I definitely wanted to be fitter and healthier. I also needed something to challenge me. In my life challenges have been good motivators and so it was time to do that physically. As you read the posts on this blog you will see my journey from being in that state to where I am now. You can read more details in the “My Story” category.
This blog is dedicated to providing information and hopefully motivation to many others who find themselves in the same place I was in. I will attempt to share tips and ideas garnered from my own journey. Whether you are totally plant-based or just want to add some more plant-based meals to your diet; whether you have had a fitness regime before or are only starting out my hope is for this blog to make a difference in your life.
